Meet Our Founder

Koonal Bhandari is the visionary Founder, Chief Executive, and Principal Mentor of Sonata Music Academy. What began as a personal passion project in 2016 has blossomed into a thriving global online music academy.

Koonal's musical journey started at the age of 13 with the piano, an instrument that immediately resonated with him. His natural aptitude allowed him to progress quickly, and he soon found himself assisting his own teacher – an experience that ignited a deep love for helping others learn and the crucial skill of breaking down complex musical concepts.

He holds distinguished qualifications, having cleared all his examinations with Distinctions. Among his notable achievements, Koonal topped India in the Grade 7 Classical Piano examination with Trinity Guildhall London. He also holds certifications in Grade 5 Electronic Keyboard (Trinity Guildhall London) and Grade 4 Popular Piano (Rockschool London).

Over the past decade, Koonal has mentored more than 150 students worldwide. As the Principal Mentor, he continues to teach actively, ensuring that Sonata Music Academy remains committed to delivering quality music education and empowering students to achieve excellence.
